Tehran, June 18 (V7N) — In response to Israel’s airstrikes on Iranian territory, Iran launched a massive retaliatory attack on Friday (June 12), firing more than 400 missiles and hundreds of drones at Israeli targets. US media outlet CNN News reported the development in a recent report.

The Iranian attack reportedly targeted around 40 sites across Israel. As a result of the strikes, more than 19,000 compensation claims have been filed with Israel’s tax authorities due to damage caused by the attacks.

So far, at least 24 people have been confirmed dead and over 800 injured in Israel. Prior to the attack, more than 3,800 residents were evacuated to safer locations.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have claimed that at least 224 people were killed in the Israeli attacks carried out on the same day (June 12), which had prompted Tehran’s massive retaliation.

Tensions between the two arch-rivals have escalated to alarming levels, raising fears of further regional instability.
