Dhaka, Sept 5 (V7N) – Robi Axiata PLC has signed an agreement with Starlink, becoming the first telecom operator in Bangladesh to serve as an authorized enterprise reseller of Starlink’s products and services.

Under the partnership, Robi will offer two tiers of Starlink’s satellite internet services—Local Priority and Global Priority—tailored for both stationary and mobile use cases. These services are designed to support essential digital applications such as video conferencing, cloud computing, e-learning, and digital commerce. The initiative is expected to play a key role in reducing the digital divide across Bangladesh.

Robi plans to distribute the services through its enterprise sales teams, authorized retail outlets, and specially designed community-sharing Wi-Fi solutions, particularly targeting affordable connectivity in rural and underserved regions.

Shihab Ahmad, Chief Commercial Officer of Robi Axiata PLC, stated:
"This initiative represents a transformative step toward bridging Bangladesh’s digital divide. By enabling high-speed satellite internet for remote and underserved regions, Robi is paving the way for communities to access vital digital services, fostering inclusion, innovation, and sustainable progress."

This strategic agreement is expected to expand reliable satellite internet access to businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, and communities lacking conventional telecommunications infrastructure.
