New Jersey, July 2 (V7N) — A small skydiving aircraft crashed into a forested area near an airport in southern New Jersey on Wednesday evening, leaving at least 15 people injured, according to local authorities.
Emergency responders, including fire trucks and rescue teams, arrived at the scene within minutes of the incident. All the injured passengers were rescued from the wreckage and transported to nearby hospitals. Three of them are reported to be in critical condition and are under close medical supervision.
Local law enforcement officials stated that the cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway.
The accident has raised fresh concerns about the safety standards of skydiving operations in the region, as this is not the first such incident reported in recent times.
