Paris, May 15 (V7N) – The France national football team have announced their final 26-member squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, with several high-profile exclusions making headlines.
Head coach Didier Deschamps has left out Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, citing fitness concerns following a season disrupted by multiple injuries. Camavinga last featured for France in an international match around six weeks ago but struggled for consistent playing time at club level, featuring only 76 matches over the past two seasons for Real Madrid.
The squad announcement also saw the omission of several notable names, including Randal Kolo Muani, Christophe Nkunku, Kingsley Coman and Hugo Ekitike, all of whom were part of France’s recent international setups.
