The government has directed that CNG filling stations remain open 24 hours a day for 13 days before and after the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
The decision came during a meeting at the Power Division headquarters in Dhaka on Monday.
Per the directive, filling stations must remain operational around the clock on Eid day, the seven days preceding and the five days following the festival.
One week prior to Eid, all forms of excavation work, including those related to MRT, the Elevated Expressway and utilities such as Wasa, Desco, DPDC, Titas and telecommunication services, must be halted to ensure smooth traffic and public convenience.
Moreover, sufficient ferry services must be ensured for passenger transport and steps must be taken to open the road near the T&T Para underpass in the Kamalapur area for vehicular movement by May 20.
