Founded in 1975 by Steve Harris, Iron Maiden is widely regarded as one of the most influential bands in the history of heavy metal music. The group rose to international prominence during the 1980s, releasing a string of successful albums, including the landmark record The Number of the Beast.

The band's theatrical performances, elaborate stage productions and enduring popularity have helped maintain its status as a global heavy metal icon for nearly five decades.
