DHAKA, July 22, (V7N) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator and Valiant Freedom Fighter Abdus Salam today said that the present government is committed to improving service quality through a competitive system, while inaugurating a new collection booth of Dhaka Bank at the office of Zone-2 (Khilgaon) to further bring dynamism in revenue collection activities, simplify the trade license fee submission process, and ensure banking facilities at citizens' doorsteps.
"With the launching of this new collection booth of Dhaka Bank, residents of this area will be able to pay various city corporation fees and receive services with huge ease," he said.
Expressing the government's commitment to simplifying citizen services, the DSCC Administrator said, "The present government believes in the direct welfare of the people. The City Corporation is an institution run on taxpayers' money. Therefore, efforts are underway to make it more dynamic and accountable."
Emphasising citizen awareness regarding the protection of the drainage system during the monsoon, Abdus Salam said, "To resolve water logging, the uncontrolled use of polythene must be reduced, and used polythene must not be thrown into drains. If citizens are aware, the city's service quality can be improved rapidly."
He called upon local residents and political workers, saying, "Alongside the City Corporation's cleanliness and service activities, everyone must come forward as volunteers in service-oriented work out of social responsibility."
Senior officials of DSCC, representatives of Dhaka Bank, and local elites were present at the event.
