DHAKA, April 22 (V7N) — The Inter‑Education Board Examination Control Committee has officially released the schedule for the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations, which will begin on July 2 and continue through August.
The exams will open with the Bengali first paper at 10:00 AM on July 2. Morning sessions will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, while afternoon sessions will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Theoretical exams will conclude on August 8, and practical exams must be completed by August 15.
Special instructions emphasize strict exam conduct:
MCQ section: 30 minutes for 30 marks.
Creative section: 2 hours 30 minutes for 70 marks.
For practical subjects: 25 minutes for MCQ (25 marks) and 2 hours 35 minutes for CQ (50 marks).
No break between MCQ and CQ sections.
Examinees must take their seats 30 minutes before the exam starts. Standard scientific calculators are permitted, but programmable calculators and mobile phones are banned. Students must pass theoretical, MCQ, and practical parts separately.
Admission cards will be distributed by institutions at least 7 days before the exams.
Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Convener of the Committee and Examination Controller of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the schedule and stressed that transparency and fairness will be ensured across all boards.
