Dhaka, Apr 16 (V7N) — The High Court has temporarily suspended the recruitment examination for head teachers and assistant head teachers under the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA)), which was scheduled to be held on April 18.

The order was issued on Thursday by a High Court bench comprising Justice Akram Hossain Chowdhury and Justice AFM Saiful Karim following a writ petition filed in connection with the recruitment process.

As a result of the court’s directive, the examination will remain postponed until further instructions are issued.

Earlier, on January 29, the authorities had issued a circular inviting applications for the posts of head teachers and assistant head teachers in 13,559 educational institutions, including schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical institutions across the country. The notification required candidates to have 10 to 15 years of teaching experience for eligibility.

Further legal proceedings regarding the case are expected to determine the future schedule of the examination.
