Dinajpur, June 30 (V7N) — Customs operations at Hili Land Port in Dinajpur have returned to normal following the withdrawal of the complete shutdown program called by officials and employees of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) demanding the removal of its chairman.

Customs officials and employees resumed their duties from Monday morning, restoring activities at the customs station. C&F agents began arriving at the port early, and processes such as the submission of bills of entry and inspection and clearance of imported goods—stalled for the past two days—have recommenced. This development has brought much-needed relief to importers and agents.

Loading and unloading operations have also resumed inside the port premises. However, until the filing of this report, no trucks carrying imported goods had entered the port. Traders noted that trucks loaded with goods from India typically start arriving after 12 noon.

According to customs sources, the government incurred a loss of approximately 7 to 8 crore taka in revenue during the two-day shutdown on Saturday and Sunday.
