Dhaka, Sep 29 (V7N) – The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has set October 14 for the hearing on framing charges against Jasad President Hasanul Haque Inu in a case involving eight counts of crimes against humanity committed during July–August.
The tribunal fixed the date on Monday morning (Sept 29) after formally showing Inu arrested in connection with the case, which includes charges of murdering seven people in Kushtia.
Meanwhile, in the July Genocide Crimes Against Humanity case, the main investigation officer Md. Alamgir is testifying for the second day against three accused, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He is the 54th and final prosecution witness in the case.
On Sunday, the state presented video footage of the July Uprising massacre to the tribunal, which was broadcast live alongside Alamgir’s statement. Today, additional video evidence submitted by the prosecution is being shown to the court.
The state alleges that law enforcement officers opened fire on protesters with deadly weapons in a planned manner, without provocation or threat.
At the same time, Tribunal-2 is also recording the testimony of Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, in a separate case.
