Habiganj, Oct 6 (V7N) – A young man was electrocuted while repairing an internet connection in Madhabpur upazila, Habiganj, on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM near Dargah Gate.

The deceased, Md. Raihan Mia, 25, son of Md. Motaleb Mia from Companyganj, Sylhet, was working as a technician for Link-3 Internet Company.

Local sources reported that Raihan was working on an internet line at the Dargah Gate area when he accidentally came into contact with a live electrical wire, resulting in immediate electrocution.

Fire service personnel from Madhabpur arrived at the scene, recovered his body, and sent it to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.
