Dhaka, Oct 07 (V7N)- BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that allies of the previous government are still conspiring against the government from various positions within the administration.
He made the remarks while taking part in a leaflet distribution programme to raise public awareness about dengue at Shahbagh in the capital on Wednesday afternoon.
Rizvi claimed that the recent escape of a drug dealer from a prison van was evidence that supporters of the ousted government remain active in different places.
He alleged that such elements are continuing to work against the government and attempting to create instability.
Speaking about dengue, the BNP leader said the government has made dengue testing free at public hospitals in the interest of the people.
He also said BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has instructed party leaders and activists across the country to take initiatives to prevent the spread of dengue.
Rizvi urged BNP leaders and activists to work alongside local communities and support public awareness efforts to control the mosquito-borne disease.
The BNP leader's remarks came amid continued efforts by authorities and political organisations to strengthen dengue prevention and public awareness across the country.
