Dhaka, Feb 11 (V7N) — The 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum will be held tomorrow. On election day, only Bangladeshi citizens aged 18 or above whose names appear on the final voter list published by the Election Commission (EC) will be eligible to cast their votes.

For voters, two pieces of information are crucial on polling day — their designated polling station and their voter serial number in the voter list.

To facilitate access to this information, the Election Commission has introduced multiple easy methods.

Through Mobile App

Voters can download the EC’s official mobile application, ‘Smart Election Management BD’, from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store (Android or iOS).

After installing the app:

  • Select ‘13th National Parliament Election’ from the dashboard

  • Click on ‘Find Voting Center’

  • Enter the NID number and date of birth

The app will then display the voter number, serial number, polling center name, and address. Voters can also view the affidavits and election symbols of candidates in their respective constituencies.

Through Hotline

Voters may call the 105 hotline to obtain their voter number and polling station information. After dialing 105, press 9 to speak with an operator. The voter’s NID number and date of birth will be required.

Through SMS

Voters can also receive information via SMS by:

  • Going to the message option on their mobile phone

  • Typing PC NID number

  • Sending the message to 105

The voter number and polling station details will be sent in a return SMS.

Through Website and Election Offices

Polling station information can also be obtained from:

  • The Election Commission’s official website

  • The respective Upazila or District Election Office

  • The voter list available at the polling center

The EC noted that inclusion in the voter list depends on the date of birth recorded in the National Identity Card (NID), and polling centers are determined accordingly.
