Dhaka, Feb 10 (V7N) — BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman concluded his election campaign on Monday night by visiting the graves of his parents after holding 15 public meetings in the capital over two days.
He formally ended his campaign by paying respects at the graves of former President and BNP founder Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area of the capital on Monday (February 9) night.
Earlier, Tarique Rahman had conducted a series of public meetings across Dhaka as part of his final campaign efforts ahead of the 13th National Parliament election.
The BNP chairman officially launched his election campaign on January 22 from Sylhet. Prior to beginning his campaign activities, he visited the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shahparan (RA), seeking blessings before entering the electoral race.
