Khulna, Feb 02 (V7N) — BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to campaign in Khulna and Jessore, two major cities in the southwestern region of the country, as part of his ongoing election campaign for the 13th National Parliament election.

According to the tour schedule, Tarique Rahman will leave Dhaka for Khulna by helicopter at 11:00 am on Monday. Upon arrival, he will attend an election rally at 12:00 noon at the Prabhati School ground, adjacent to Government Haji Muhammad Muhsin College in Khulna city.

Ahead of his visit, the metropolitan and district BNP units held a press briefing at a renowned hotel in Khulna city on Sunday afternoon, outlining preparations for the rally.

Party leaders informed that during the Khulna rally, Tarique Rahman will introduce 14 BNP candidates contesting from Khulna, Bagerhat, and Satkhira districts to the voters.

Following the Khulna program, the BNP chairman will depart for Jessore by helicopter at 1:00 pm. He is scheduled to join another election public meeting at 1:40 pm at the Birampur Adarsh Government Primary School ground in the new suburb area of Jessore.

This will be Tarique Rahman’s first public meeting in Jessore, and local BNP leaders have expressed hope that it will become the largest rally in the district’s history. After concluding the program, he is expected to return to Dhaka by helicopter.

Earlier in the campaign, the BNP chairman addressed election rallies in Sylhet, Chattogram, Mymensingh, Rangpur, and Rajshahi divisions. He is also scheduled to hold a similar election rally in Barisal in the coming days.
