Sirajganj, Jan 31 (V7N) — BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has pledged to promote agriculture-based industries across the northern region, including Sirajganj and Pabna, and emphasized the enrichment of the weaving industry to make the youth skilled and employable.
He made the remarks while addressing an election rally at the BSCIC Industrial Park in Sirajganj on Saturday afternoon.
“BNP believes in peace. Religion is not important to us. We want people of all faiths and communities to live together harmoniously,” Tarique Rahman said. “If we can establish a government accountable to the people, the real problems of the citizens can be addressed effectively.”
He highlighted the need to develop agro-based industries and small industrial factories in the region. “While strengthening agriculture, we must also create employment for millions of young people. Establishing new industrial parks from Thakurgaon to Sirajganj will help achieve this. We will also focus on the weaving industry to make its products recognized globally,” he added.
The BNP chairman also emphasized women’s education and empowerment. “The government of the rice sheaf focuses on self-reliant women. BNP wants to provide family cards to every mother in the country to support this initiative,” he said.
Regarding youth development, Tarique Rahman said, “Many young people in this region lack skills, especially those going abroad. We will establish training centers to develop skilled manpower. In addition, BNP will support talented individuals in sports to ensure their growth.”
The rally saw enthusiastic participation from local party leaders, activists, and citizens eager to hear BNP’s development and empowerment plans for the northern districts.
