Dhaka, Jan 28 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has expressed his determination to build a modern Bangladesh founded on justice and fairness, calling on all to move forward together by setting aside past differences.

He made the remarks while addressing a public meeting at Uttar Kafrul High School on Wednesday.

“We do not want to dwell on the past anymore, nor do we want to divide the nation. We all want to move forward together,” Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said.

The Jamaat Amir stated that his party has remained connected with the people of the area since 2018, sharing in both their joys and sorrows.
“This is not a new relationship. Since we are contesting from this area, we will sincerely try to solve the local problems,” he added.

Welcoming rival candidates, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman urged all contestants to conduct their election campaigns in a beautiful, polite, and orderly manner. He emphasized the importance of respecting democratic values and called on candidates to have faith in the people and accept their verdict.

He also expressed his hope for the development of educational institutions in the area and praised the warm reception he received from local children during the event.
