Dhaka, Jan 27 (V7N) — BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman left his Gulshan residence in Dhaka at around 11:00 am on Tuesday for Mymensingh to participate in an election rally after a gap of 22 years.

He is scheduled to address the rally at the Mymensingh Circuit House ground at noon. According to party sources, all preparations for the rally have already been completed, including the construction of the stage.

A festive atmosphere has prevailed among BNP leaders and activists ahead of Tarique Rahman’s arrival. Leaders, activists, and supporters from four districts of the Mymensingh division have gathered to attend the rally.

During the programme, the BNP chairman is expected to introduce 24 BNP-nominated candidates from the four districts to the public.

Tarique Rahman last visited Mymensingh in 2003, when he participated in a road march programme.
