Dhaka, Jan 12 (V7N) — BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan has stressed that working people are a crucial part of the political party, and those who come to power through the elections will be responsible for implementing the workers' manifesto.

He made the remarks on Monday during a discussion meeting of workers' organizations held at the China Friendship Conference Center in the capital.

Nazrul Islam Khan said the manifesto was prepared with the support of the country’s labor movement and reflects the efforts of those who have long worked for the interests of workers.

He added that even parties that do not come to power should pressure the elected government to ensure the manifesto’s implementation.

“Political parties represent the people, and the working people are a large and important part of that,” he said.
