Dhaka, Dec 26 (V7N)- Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on Friday said that the “black shadow” has not yet been lifted from the nation and vowed that Islami Chhatra Shibir and Jamaat-e-Islami will continue their struggle until it is removed.
He made the remarks while addressing the central member conference of Islami Chhatra Shibir at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center on Friday afternoon (December 26).
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stressed the need for unity among people of all religions and political parties, calling for the establishment of a corruption-free, discrimination-free, and justice-based Bangladesh. He said Jamaat-e-Islami aims to create skilled human resources, not dependency on unemployment benefits.
He also emphasized reforming the education system, stating that skilled citizens can be developed through the inclusion of a strong and effective curriculum.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar alleged that attempts are being made to suppress Islami Chhatra Shibir through misinformation and propaganda. He claimed that the organization cannot be stopped by what he described as false labeling, intimidation, or repressive tactics.
Both leaders addressed party members and delegates as the conference continues, with the election of Chhatra Shibir’s new central leadership scheduled through a direct and secret vote.
