Dhaka, Nov 25 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed confidence in the upcoming elections, stating that there is no fear of disruption of the vote.

Speaking at a meeting with lawyers at the District Bar Association hall on Tuesday afternoon, Fakhrul said that the law and order situation in the country is stable. He noted that most political parties have already announced their candidates, and BNP is hopeful that the election date will be set either in the first week of February next year or shortly thereafter.

He also mentioned that as a major political party, BNP may have multiple candidates interested in contesting the same seat, reflecting the party’s broad base and political strength.
