Dhaka, Nov 10 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad has expressed hope that BNP will respond positively if discussions are initiated to resolve the political crisis.
He made the remarks after a joint meeting of Islamic parties at Purana Paltan on Monday (November 10) afternoon. The meeting focused on the implementation of the July National Charter and the five-point demands, including the issuance of an order to implement the charter and the holding of a referendum.
Hamidur Azad said that the country and the nation would receive guidance from the Jamaat rally scheduled for Tuesday, along with a message for the government. He warned that if the demands are not met, a nationwide movement could be launched from the capital. The party expects lakhs of participants in tomorrow’s rally.
He added that the rally will run from 2 pm to 4 pm, a schedule set with the aim of minimizing public inconvenience.
