Dhaka, Nov 07 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher has said that a “miracle could happen in the country in the next election.”

He made the remark while addressing a reception program for DUCSU elected representatives organized by Islami Chhatrashibir at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center on Friday (November 7) morning.

Dr. Taher said that the “density of pulses has increased in the university” and claimed that torture cells have been shut down, adding that “there is no more alcohol-carrot chat.”

At the same event, DUCSU Vice President Sadiq Kayem said that the “business of the Liberation War and July” will not continue in the new Bangladesh. He also warned that vetoing the current reform proposal could lead to consequences worse than those faced by fascist regimes.
