Dhaka, Nov 04 (V7N)- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that the party will announce its election candidates within the next few days.

He made the statement while speaking to journalists at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday morning after returning from a 15-day foreign tour.

Dr. Rahman returned home after performing Umrah and visiting the United States and the United Kingdom.

The Jamaat Ameer also urged the Election Commission to extend the registration period for expatriate voters by another 15 days.

Commenting that “disagreement is the beauty of democracy,” Dr. Rahman said that differences of opinion among political parties are natural. He also called upon media professionals to play a constructive role in nation-building.
