Khulna, Oct 11 (V7N) – As the upcoming elections draw near, tensions between the administration and some government advisors are reportedly increasing, said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar.

He made the remarks at a student-youth rally held at Paikgachha Government College Grounds in Khulna on Saturday (October 11).

Golam Parwar alleged that certain advisors were secretly colluding with a political party to ensure its return to power. He expressed confidence in the Chief Advisor and urged that a level playing field be established in the country ahead of the elections.

During his speech, he used religious references to emphasize voter confidence, saying: “As soon as you see the symbol of scales in the voting booth, you will say ‘Bismillah scales’; after marking it, you will say ‘Alhamdulillah scales’; and when leaving, you will say ‘Masha’Allah scales’.”

Golam Parwar also stated that if Jamaat comes to power, it will eliminate corruption and make economic development a priority.

The rally was chaired by Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Saidur Rahman and attended by central working committee member and Khulna region assistant director Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Chhatra Shibir Secretary General Nurul Islam Saddam, and other local and metropolitan party leaders and activists.
