Dhaka, Oct 07 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that a “deep conspiracy” is underway to manipulate the upcoming national election and divert it “to a different sector.”

He made the remarks while addressing a teachers’ rally organized by the Teachers-Employees Unity Alliance at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Tuesday (October 7).

The rally was organized to press for several demands, including a non-discriminatory education system, raising the retirement age to 65, bringing non-MPO educational institutions under the MPO system, and nationalizing the jobs of teachers and employees.

Addressing the gathering, Mirza Fakhrul urged teachers to play a proactive role in ensuring transparency during the elections.

“You have a big responsibility in the upcoming election. Today, a deep conspiracy has begun to conduct the election in a different sector. You must remain vigilant so that no one can divert it,” he said.

He added that the BNP’s 31-point program already includes all the demands raised by the teachers and education employees.

Reaffirming BNP’s vision, Fakhrul said,

“Our goal is one—to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh, fulfilling the dream of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.”

Calling on teachers to help shape the next generation, he added,

“As a nation, we expect you to nurture students with morality and ideals so that they can become true citizens and contribute to building a modern education system.”
