Dhaka, Sep 28 (V7N) – Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh Gabriel Cistiaga Ochoa de Chinchetru paid a courtesy call on Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, at his Bashundhara office on Sunday at 9 am.

During the meeting, the Ambassador inquired about Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s health and extended his best wishes. The discussion also covered the overall situation in Bangladesh, bilateral and international relations between Bangladesh and Spain, investment opportunities, and mutual interests.

The Ambassador reaffirmed Spain’s strong support for Bangladesh and expressed hope that bilateral economic relations and development trends between the two countries will continue to strengthen.

Present at the meeting were Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat Medical Police Station Amir Dr. SM Khaliduzzaman, and Jamaat Amir’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
