Dhaka, Sep 05 (V7N) – BNP Chairperson’s advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk has cautioned that any attempts to sabotage the upcoming elections through alliances with the Awami League will be firmly resisted.
He made the remarks during a discussion meeting at the National Press Club on Friday morning. Faruk claimed that the conspiracy to disrupt the elections is still ongoing, alleging that efforts are being made at the instigation of Delhi.
Urging Jamaat-e-Islami to rethink its political strategy, he said the party must apologize to the people for past mistakes and move away from demands such as “never PR, never referendum, or I will not participate in the election.”
Faruk expressed confidence that if people cast their votes, the BNP will secure an absolute victory in the elections.
