Dhaka, Aug 29 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain has expressed optimism that the Election Commission (EC) will announce the schedule for the 13th National Parliament election in due time, aiming for February.

He made the remarks on Friday while paying respects at the tomb of Ziaur Rahman, during a program organized by the Physiotherapist Association of Bangladesh’s elected committee.

Dr. Zahid Hossain said the EC has taken a “timely decision” by unveiling a roadmap that reflects the aspirations of the people. “The people’s demand is to participate in shaping the future of Bangladesh through their right to vote,” he said.

The BNP leader further expressed hope that the citizens will elect their representatives through the ballot and entrust them with the responsibility of nation-building.
