Dhaka, Aug 23 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has stated that meaningful change cannot be achieved in isolation. He made the remarks at a discussion meeting held at the National Press Club on Saturday.

Mirza Fakhrul criticized the widespread irregularities in the education sector, claiming that school and college teachers are often appointed through bribery. "Where so much inequality and malpractice have persisted for a long time, change cannot happen overnight," he said.

He emphasized the need to move forward with specific goals and concrete plans for reform. Highlighting efforts to build a progressive society and reduce inequality, he alleged that extremism is being subtly propagated to undermine these efforts.

Stressing the importance of unity in a democratic society, Mirza Fakhrul said, "Change is possible in Bangladesh if we rise above corruption and work together. There are numerous examples to show that progress can be achieved through collective effort."
