Dhaka, July 23 (V7N) – Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman has called for a thorough and impartial investigation into the tragic plane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka.

Speaking after meeting the bereaved families in the Nayanagar area of Diyabari, Uttara, on Wednesday morning, Professor Mujibur Rahman offered condolences and prayed for the eternal peace of those who lost their lives.

He announced that Jamaat-e-Islami has allocated Tk 50 lakh to assist with the treatment of the injured and to support the families of the deceased. He also urged the government to expedite efforts to locate students who remain missing and reunite them with their families.

The devastating crash of a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet into the Milestone School and College campus on July 21 resulted in numerous casualties. Following the tragedy, the government declared a one-day state mourning on July 22.
