Dhaka, May 17 (V7N) — Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee, emphasized the urgent need to restore democracy in Bangladesh, stating that the only way to achieve this is through free, fair, and impartial elections.

Dr. Moin Khan made these remarks after paying tribute by laying wreaths at the tomb of Ziaur Rahman on Saturday (May 17), marking the founding anniversary of the Baul Party.

He stressed that no nation can stand tall without democracy. “One-party rule may display power, but it cannot earn the love of the people. That is why BNP rejects politics driven by revenge,” he added.

Dr. Moin Khan further expressed BNP’s commitment to ensuring freedom for all citizens, including freedom of speech and media. He reminded that Bangladesh was created for the people, underscoring the party’s vision of an inclusive and democratic society.
