Jhalokati, May 15 (V7N) – Jhalokati District Chhatra Dal held a protest march and rally on Wednesday afternoon to condemn the killing of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal leader Shahriar Alam Samyo and demand the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. The protest commenced from the party office situated on Amtal Road in the city. The procession was led by Amanullah Aman, the Organizing Secretary of the Central Chhatra Dal, and saw the participation of District Chhatra Dal President Arifur Rahman Khan and General Secretary Gias Sardar Dipu. The march proceeded through the city streets and culminated in front of the local press club, where a rally was held.

Addressing the rally, Amanullah Aman, the Organizing Secretary of Central Chhatra Dal, criticized the government's alleged inconsistencies regarding quotas, stating, "The blood of countless people has been shed in the quota movement, today we see that this government is using the most quota. We can see that people from Chittagong are in the secretariat, the VC of Dhaka University is from Chittagong. It is very sad, this is also a quota system." He directly demanded the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University in response to the murder of Chhatra Dal leader Shahriar.
