Dhaka, Dec 22 (V7N)- Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan has collected nomination papers to contest the upcoming 13th National Parliament election from the Dhaka-10 constituency.

He collected the nomination forms from the Election Commission office in Dhanmondi on Monday (December 22).

Speaking to reporters after collecting the papers, Asif Mahmud said he intends to utilize his one and a half years of experience in government to contribute to the development of the constituency.

Referring to recent political tensions, he claimed that there are reports of July movement leaders being targeted, which could hamper election campaigning due to security shortcomings. He urged the Election Commission to take action against violations of the electoral code of conduct, including the installation of posters and election booths in the Dhaka-10 area.

Asif Mahmud also pledged to strictly follow election campaign rules and regulations.

Additionally, he called on the government to ensure that the elections are held on schedule, alleging that various political groups—excluding the Awami League—are attempting to cast doubt on the election process.

Expressing confidence, the young leader said he remains optimistic about winning the election with public support.
