DHAKA, May 22, (V7N) – Bangladesh Railway today issued a directive to all its officials and employees to maintain heightened vigilance to ensure a seamless Eid journey for passengers returning home.

The instructions were delivered during a meeting held at Kamalapur Railway Station, presided over by Railways Ministry Secretary Md Fahimul Islam.

With a significant number of passengers expected to depart Dhaka and other major cities for Eid celebrations with their families, relevant officials and staff were urged to prioritize the safety and security of both passengers and trains.

Director General of Bangladesh Railway (BR), Md Afzal Hossain, and other senior officials attended the meeting.

Authorities, particularly members of the Railway Nirapatta Bahini (RNB), were specifically instructed to ensure that no passenger travels on trains without a valid ticket.

The meeting also called for stringent measures to curb the black marketing of tickets, prevent ticketless travel, and prohibit passengers from riding on train roofs.

Furthermore, it was announced that adequate mobile courts will be operational at key stations from June 1 to combat irregularities.
