Dhaka, May 14 (V7N) — Students of Dhaka University’s Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall staged a protest on Wednesday night over alleged irregularities in healthcare services and the spread of water-borne diseases inside the residential hall.
The protesting students gathered outside the hall, accusing the administration of prolonged internal mismanagement and negligence.
According to the aggrieved students, more than a hundred residents have been suffering from various water-borne diseases over the past two months. They alleged that the issue was repeatedly reported to the hall authorities, but no effective action has been taken so far.
The students also accused the hall council of showing indifference toward the worsening health situation.
During the demonstration, the protesters raised several demands, including the publication of steps taken by the administration to improve healthcare, education, and food quality within the hall.
They also demanded prompt and proper medical treatment for students currently affected by illness.
