Dhaka, April 26 (V7N) — The Dhaka Education Board has issued a formal advisory to Secondary School Certificate (SSC) candidates and their guardians, urging them to remain vigilant and avoid panicking over widespread rumors regarding question paper leaks. In a notification signed by Exam Controller Professor S. M. Kamal Uddin Haider, the board clarified that the misinformation currently circulating on various social media platforms is entirely fabricated. The statement emphasized that these false claims are being orchestrated byvested groups aiming to create unnecessary anxiety among students and undermine the credibility of the national examination process.
The board revealed that law enforcement agencies have already taken decisive action against those responsible for spreading these rumors. According to the notification, the City Intelligence Analysis Unit of the police identified a specific Facebook group titled "SSC 2026 Question Leak Group" used to facilitate the scam. On April 23, tactical teams conducted a raid in the Tangur area under Ashulia Police Station, resulting in the arrest of four individuals connected to the fraudulent operation. These offenders were reportedly exploiting parents and students by charging money for fake documents that bore no resemblance to the actual examination papers.
Education officials have cautioned that engaging with such misleading content not only causes psychological stress to candidates but also poses a risk of financial extortion. The board reiterated that the examination system is being conducted under strict security protocols to ensure fairness and integrity. Guardians are encouraged to rely only on official channels for information and to report any suspicious online activity to the relevant authorities immediately.
The notification concluded by advising students to focus entirely on their studies and remain cautious of digital misinformation. The board and law enforcement agencies have intensified their monitoring of social media activity to preemptively block any further attempts at spreading rumors. By maintaining a calm and disciplined environment, the authorities aim to ensure that the SSC 2026 examinations continue smoothly across the country without further disruption.
