Sylhet, Jan 25 (V7N) — Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College (JCPSC) has created a remarkable chapter in the educational history of Sylhet by securing the position of the second best educational institution (school category) at the national level during National Education Week 2026. The achievement comes after competing with several thousand educational institutions from across Bangladesh.

In addition to the institutional success, the college principal, Lieutenant Colonel Maimunul Karim Chowdhury, MPhil, has earned individual recognition by being selected as the Best Institution Head (College Category) at the divisional level, further highlighting the institution’s leadership excellence.

JCPSC’s continued achievements include being ranked second best school nationwide, best school at the divisional level, and best institution head at the divisional level for the college wing. The institution has also demonstrated outstanding performance in sports, becoming district champions in basketball and hockey, and winning a total of 18 medals in athletics at various competitions.

Expressing satisfaction over this historic accomplishment, the institution’s authorities stated that the success is the result of effective leadership, dedicated supervision by teachers, and the combined efforts of students and guardians. They noted that the institution is guided by the principle that when hard work aligns with talent, success becomes part of history.

Lieutenant Colonel Maimunul Karim Chowdhury expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the achievement and congratulated all those involved. He also conveyed optimism that JCPSC will continue to uphold educational quality and achieve greater success at both national and international levels in the future.
