Jhalokathi, Oct 09 (V7N) – A preparatory meeting was held in Jhalokathi on Wednesday to ensure overall security and maintain law and order during the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja celebrations.
The meeting was organised by the Jhalokathi district administration at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room and chaired by District Commissioner and District Magistrate Md Momin Uddin.
The meeting placed special emphasis on ensuring comprehensive security at every puja mandap across the district during the festival.
Participants also decided to deploy volunteers at puja venues, ensure orderly traffic management and maintain heightened vigilance by law enforcement agencies to respond quickly to any emergency or untoward incident.
Addressing the meeting, District Commissioner Md Momin Uddin sought the sincere cooperation of all concerned to ensure that Durga Puja is celebrated peacefully and in a festive and disciplined environment.
He also assured the organisers of all necessary support from the government.
Officials from different law enforcement agencies, leaders of the Puja Celebration Council and heads of various departments of the local administration attended the meeting.
