Pabna, Sept 30 (V7N) – A torch procession and rally were held in Pabna on Tuesday night protesting what organizers described as attempts to destabilize the country through planned acts of violence.

The procession was brought out from in front of the district school under the leadership of Dr Ahmed Mostafa Neman, general secretary of the Pabna district unit of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).

The procession passed through major streets of the city before ending at Ghora Stand.

Earlier, addressing a brief rally, Neman said BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations were united to resist any attempt to undermine the country’s stability through planned violence and disorder.

He also called for maintaining peace, a democratic environment and public security in the country.

Leaders and activists of the Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and other affiliated and associate organizations attended the rally.
