PABNA, May 26, (V7N)– Advocate Arifa Sultana Ruma, Member of Parliament for Reserved Women’s Seat, has said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun implementing the government’s promises, and those who did not vote for the rice ear symbol in Pabna-3 constituency are now regretting it.
Speaking at a day-long Eid gift distribution program in Chatmohar, Bhangura, and Faridpur upazilas, Ruma emphasized that Rahman is honoring religious leaders, distributing agricultural cards and family cards, and launching canal excavation projects to boost agriculture. She urged unity, saying: “If Tarique Rahman’s hand is strengthened, everyone will be fine. May there be no more mistakes like before.”
She assured party activists of her availability, saying her phone remains open 24 hours for any need, and conveyed Eid greetings sent by the Prime Minister.

Chatmohar Upazila Parishad Auditorium (11 am): Presided by Municipal BNP President Asaduzzaman Arshed, moderated by Principal Abdur Rahim Kalu and Rabiul Karim Tarek. Speakers included Principal Mahmudul Alam Mahmud, VP Selim Reza, and other BNP leaders.
Bhangura Upazila Parishad Minayatana (4:30 pm): Presided by BNP convener Nur Mojahid Swapan, moderated by lecturer Zafar Iqbal Herok. Leaders including Rafiqul Islam, SM Humayun Kabir, Akhiruzzaman Masum, and Sarkar Humayun Ahmed Moon spoke. Ruma personally handed over Eid greetings to ailing BNP leader Abdul Khalek and assured support for his treatment.
Faridpur Upazila Parishad Auditorium (7 pm): Presided by former BNP convener Zahurul Islam Baku, moderated by Abdul Hakim Khan and Ziaur Rahman Zia. Leaders including Abu Taher, Enamul Haque, and Abdus Samad Dayan Manju addressed the gathering.
Ruma’s remarks underline the BNP government’s focus on agriculture development and grassroots support, while also signaling political consolidation in Pabna ahead of future challenges.
