RAJSHAHI, 21 MAY (V7N) - On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha-2026, a meeting was held with the Ward Secretary, Ward Supervisor, Monitoring Officer, Monitoring Inspector and Central Supervisor of Rajshahi City Corporation regarding the smooth implementation of the Qurbani waste removal program. Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton was the chief guest at the meeting held at the Annex Hallroom of Nagar Bhaban on Wednesday (May 20). In the meeting, the RASC Administrator instructed everyone to work responsibly to remove Qurbani waste in a timely manner. At this time, the Ward Secretary, Ward Supervisor, Monitoring Officer, Monitoring Inspector and Central Supervisor expressed their determination to remove Qurbani waste properly in a timely manner.

Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting, RASIC Administrator Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said, Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has given me the opportunity to serve the city people. I have continued to try to fulfill that responsibility properly. Everyone has to play a responsible role in removing the waste of the upcoming Qurbani as soon as possible. We want to gift a clean city to the people of Rajshahi metropolis on the day after Eid. All waste will be removed within the day and night of Eid.

The RASC administrator said, for the first time, Rajshahi City Corporation will provide eco-friendly bags for the citizens to store the sacrificial meat in a hygienic manner, and eco-friendly bags and bleaching powder for waste disposal. I request the city residents to dispose of sacrificial waste in a designated place instead of throwing it around.

He further said, "I want to make Rajshahi known as a clean city not only in the country but also all over the world. I seek everyone's full cooperation in this work."

The meeting was presided over by the Chief Executive Officer of RSC Md. Rezaul Karim. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of RSC Sohel Rana, Chief Cleaning Officer Sheikh Md. Mamun Dollar, Superintending Engineer (Acting) Ahmed Al Moin (Parag). The meeting was moderated by the Deputy Chief Cleaning Officer Selim Reza Ranju. The meeting was attended by the Ward Secretary, Ward Supervisor and Cleaning Officer Monitoring, Cleaning Inspector and Central Supervisor.
