RAJSHAHI, 18 (V7N) - Two fatal train accidents occurred in Charghat Upazila, Rajshahi, resulting in the deaths of a woman and a young man, police and railway officials confirmed.

An unidentified woman, approximately 35 years old, was struck by a train at around 8:45 am today near the Holidagachhi rail gate in Shalua Union. Locals discovered her body at the scene, but her identity has not yet been confirmed.

In a separate incident on Monday night, 25-year-old Sohag, son of Julum Pramanik from Kalabipara village in Nimpara Union, was killed by a train near the Habibpur Kalabipara area. Witnesses said Sohag was crossing or near the railway line and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time.

Railway officials confirmed both deaths, stating that the bodies were recovered and sent to a local hospital morgue for autopsy. Ishwardi Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman said police visited the sites, and legal procedures are ongoing.
