Pabna, May 6 (V7N) — The body of an unidentified woman with her throat slit was recovered from a room at a residential hotel in Pabna city on Tuesday afternoon, while the hotel’s owner and employees remain missing, raising suspicion over their possible involvement in the killing.
The incident took place at Lucky Boarding, located on Aurangzeb Road in the city. According to local sources, residents became suspicious after a foul smell was coming from one of the rooms. Police were informed and later forced open the door, where they discovered the body inside.
Police said the identity of the deceased could not be immediately confirmed. She is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old. Deep wounds were found on her neck, indicating that she may have been killed in a premeditated manner.
Since the incident, none of the hotel’s owner or employees have been located, and the hotel remains closed, further intensifying suspicion.
Inspector (Investigation) Monirul Islam of Pabna Sadar Police Station said that evidence has been collected from the scene. He added that the Crime Scene Unit from Sirajganj has been informed, and upon their arrival, the body will be sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
Police said efforts are ongoing to identify the victim and uncover the circumstances behind the murder.
