APR 21 (V7N) - Two people, including a woman, tragically lost their lives after being hit by trains in separate incidents in Charghat Upazila of Rajshahi.

The first incident occurred this morning at around 8:45 am in the Holidagachhi area, where an unidentified woman, approximately 35 years old, was struck by a train. The accident took place when the train was passing through the Holidagachhi rail gate under Shalua Union. Locals discovered her body at the scene, but her identity remains unknown at this time.

In another incident on Monday night, a 25-year-old man named Sohag, from Kalabipara village in Nimpara Union, was killed after being hit by a train in the Habibpur Kalabipara area. Witnesses reported that Sohag was crossing or walking near the railway line when he was struck by the train. It was also mentioned that he may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Railway officials confirmed both deaths and stated that the bodies were recovered by police and sent to a local hospital morgue for autopsy. Ishwardi Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman confirmed that police visited both sites, and legal procedures are underway.
