Satkhira, Apr 19 (V7N) — Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhtar has directed that fuel currently stored at filling stations in Satkhira be sold at the previous government-fixed prices.

Old prices to remain for existing stock

According to the directive, the newly increased fuel prices will only apply to fresh supplies arriving from depots. Fuel already delivered to filling stations must be sold at the earlier rates.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that all station operators have been instructed to strictly follow this order to ensure fair pricing for consumers.

Current fuel stock in the district

As per the daily fuel report from the DC’s office, the total stock across 29 filling stations includes:

  • Diesel: 101,432 liters

  • Petrol: 54,485 liters

  • Octane: 22,683 liters

New prices effective for fresh supply

The government’s revised fuel prices, effective from Sunday (April 19), include:

  • Diesel: Tk 115 per liter (previously Tk 100)

  • Petrol: Tk 135 per liter (previously Tk 116)

  • Octane: Tk 140 per liter (previously Tk 120)

Officials said this measure is intended to ensure a smooth transition following the recent price hike and to prevent confusion or irregularities at the consumer level.
