RAJSHAHI, APR 17 (V7N) - Due to the negligence of the principal in Bagha, Rajshahi, the examination of 39 SSC candidates has become uncertain. Although money was taken from the candidates to fill the form, it was not filled. The incident happened to a student of Keshabpur School and College in the upazila.
It is learned that the SSC and equivalent examinations will start simultaneously nationwide from April 21. There are only 8 days left for the examination. In the meantime, students have come to know that the forms of 39 candidates have not been filled. Not only that, the college authorities have not even completed the registration of 34 of these students in the ninth grade.
According to the education board and relevant sources, there are a total of 40 examinees at Keshabpur School and College in Bagha Upazila. Of these, one student has filled the form, while 39 students have not.
In this regard, Keshabpur School and College Principal Kamaruzzaman said, "Registration has been completed, the form will be filled tomorrow. I don't understand how the candidates missed out on filling the form. The office assistant was given the responsibility. I have spoken to the college inspector and chairman sir. The form will be filled once the form is filled and submitted."
After checking with the Rajshahi Education Board, it was learned that students are lobbying the board for the registration of ninth grade and filling out the forms. As of yesterday, Wednesday, the registration of ninth grade students and the forms of the examinees had not been filled.
Shamim Hasan, school inspector of Rajshahi Education Board, said, "The principal came on Wednesday, but did not bring the hard copy. Now, after arranging for the students to take the exam, the principal will discuss the matter with the chairman and take action."
In this regard, Upazila Executive Officer Shammi Akhter, president of the Keshabpur School and College Management Committee, said that action is being taken after investigation.
