JHALAKATHI, April 15 (V7N) — A counter‑press conference was held in Amua village of Kanthalia upazila on Monday by accused Harun Molla Gangra, rejecting allegations made against him in a land dispute.

The press conference, organized at the Kanthalia Press Club, came in response to a human chain and press conference held by his opponents the previous day. In a written statement, Harun Molla insisted that the accusations were baseless and emphasized his respect for the law.

Harun Molla cited verdicts from the district and sessions courts, the High Court, and the Supreme Court, all of which he claimed confirmed his ownership of the disputed land. He also referenced local arbitration meetings held in the presence of community leaders, which he said had ruled in his favor.

He accused opponents of defying court orders and spreading false information through press conferences and human chains, creating confusion among the public.

Harun Molla urged the administration to verify land documents and the Supreme Court verdict copy, saying the “real truth will be revealed.” He sought cooperation to free his family from false accusations and ensure peaceful possession of their property.

Harun Molla, his mother, and siblings were present at the press conference.
