TEKNAF, April 11(V7N) — Police have recovered about 500,000 Yaba pills from a chicken farm in Rangikhali area of Hnila Union, Teknaf Upazila, Cox’s Bazar, late Friday night. The farm’s owner, Nurul Hossain (30), is currently absconding.
According to police, a team from Teknaf Model Police Station raided the farm around 11 pm based on secret information. Two sacks hidden under wood inside a room were recovered, containing 50 packets of Yaba pills.
Police sources said Nurul Hossain, son of Gura Mia of the same area, fled during the raid. The operation was conducted following intelligence that a large shipment of drugs had entered Bangladesh from Myanmar.
Officer‑in‑Charge Saiful Islam of Teknaf Model Police Station confirmed the recovery.
